Who are you?
I’m Bungo Morita, I’m painter. Live in Tokyo, Japan

H.R GIGER, Jean Jansem, YUMEJI TAKEHISA, KEN SAKAGUCHI & more..
WHAT
What themes does your art focus on?
“Selflessness”.
What is your hallmark as an artist?
I don’t know for myself. I hope each person who sees my work discovers my characteristics.
What music or other audio do you listen to while you work?
David Sylvian, JAPAN, Bauhaus, PORTISHEAD, Tom Waits, Nujabes, Japanese songs, and more… I listen to various genres of music.
WHEN
When did you decide that art was part of you and your life?
I have been painting since I was little. I never got bored with paper and pens wherever I was. When I was little, I drew story-telling manga and showed it to my friends at school.
WHERE
Where do you work on your artwork?
I run a gallery bar in Tokyo. It also serves as my atelier, so I often draw pictures there.
Where would you like to see your artworks exhibited?
I would like to exhibit in places that many people can see in various countries.
WHY
Why do you make art?
For me, the act of drawing a painting may be like an eternal journey to find a state of selflessness.
Why do you think art is important in our society?
Art is something that enriches the daily lives of human beings, so I think it is a very important and necessary thing for human beings.
