Artebinaria Open Air Museum

Introduction

In an era marked by profound shifts in climate, society, geopolitics, and technology, Artebinaria’s primary mission is to ferry art and culture through these turbulent waters with audacity and innovation.

Our distinctive commitment lies in harnessing the full potential of Augmented Reality, Extended Reality, and Spatial Computing to build a bridge to the future. It’s a future where art, culture, and knowledge not only survive but thrive in new forms of expression.

Since 2019, Artebinaria has embraced the challenge of creating a new world for art, a world where physical boundaries and historical limitations yield to imagination and global connection.

Let’s delve into the world of Artebinaria with Open-Air Museum and Artinside Museum, a world where history and art come to life through cutting-edge technology.

Artebinaria Open-Air Museum: Discover Art Masterpieces in the Real World

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives. (Albert Einstein)

If you’ve ever dreamt of exploring the world of art with the wonder and curiosity of a child, Artebinaria Open-Air Museum is your gateway.

Artebinaria Open-Air Museum – our visionary platform of Art History in augmented reality – offers a captivating experience that allows you to rediscover art with the innocence and wonder of a child.

In the real world, we’ve placed imaginary museums in precise outdoor locations (to see where the Artebinaria Open-Air Museums are currently located, simply click here).

How does it work?

To experience Artebinaria’s Open-Air Museums, start by visiting their designated locations. Once there, effortlessly open the app on your iPhone or iPad and select the pavilion you’d like to explore. Each pavilion presents a collection of 25 paintings. Enter augmented reality with your device, and you’ll discover a user-friendly menu showcasing the five rooms of the pavilion. Look around freely, and you’ll see the artworks displayed gracefully on invisible walls, perfectly integrated into the environment. Simply tap on one of the banners within the initial menu to switch to a different room, where more artworks will materialize around you.

Should you wish to delve deeper, a gentle touch upon any artwork will reveal an informative information sheet.

The AR Experience

The experience of visiting a pavilion in Augmented Reality in Artebinaria Open-Air Museum allows the mind of visitors to assemble a series of sensory stimuli from outside: ounds, noises, people, objects, natural or artificial elements.

Augmented reality, as used in Artebinaria Open-Air Museum, offers a perceptual experience that goes beyond simple multisensoriality. It’s an example where the total experience provided to users is greater than the sum of its parts.

Artinside Museum: A Museum in Your Living Room

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. (Pablo Picasso)

You might not always be able to physically reach the locations of Artebinaria Open Air Museums, but don’t worry. You can still have an extraordinary experience right from your living room using our Artinside Museum app.

Take a closer look at the artworks in front of you, examine the details, and let art sweep away the accumulated dust of everyday life. It’s like having a private museum right in your living space, ready to rejuvenate your soul with the power of art.

Educational, Inspirational, and Timeless

The fusion of history, art, and technology not only provides moments of awe and wonder, allowing us to see the world with new eyes and appreciate the enduring beauty of art, but it also offers educational value.

The curation of artworks, along with the meticulously crafted information sheets and accompanying audio narratives for each piece, has been masterfully overseen by Maddalena Grazzini, an art historian and the Art Director of Artebinaria.

The Visitors

Artebinaria Museums caters to visitors who possess a sincere curiosity about the history of art, regardless of whether they are specialists. Our goal is to infuse visitors with the same sense of wonder that we experience when constructing our AR Pavilions.

Digital Sharing and Global Impact

In our experience, we’ve noticed that visitors are very keen to share their AR experiences online, photographing or filming scenes from our pavilions. Within our apps, we have included a specific functionality that allows you to simply record and photograph your visit session in augmented reality.

The Harmonious Fusion

In essence, this is our mission at Artebinaria: not merely to overlap art, culture, and technology but to harmoniously merge them, elevating all three to an equal standing.

We believe that these three elements form a symbiotic relationship, and the fusion of these aspects enriches our lives in profound ways.
