The visual art exhibition in AR – “Temporal Trilogy: Reflections on Past, Present, and Future” – invites artists to engage with three distinct yet interconnected themes, capturing the profound interplay between art, philosophy, society, and culture.
Through a selection of paintings and fine art photographs, the exhibition aims to explore the cyclical nature of human existence, presenting intoxicating visions that embrace the past, interpret the present, and fling open the doors to the future.
The exhibition will be curated across three global Pavilions, each dedicated to a distinct theme from the trilogy: Past, Present, Future. Each Pavilion consists of 5 rooms, and each room contains 5 artworks.
In the first Pavilion, “Observed Memories”, art merges with the past, recreating historical moments and personal memories through brushstrokes or the lens of the camera. The paintings and photographs depict forgotten instances that stir buried emotions, reflecting the persistence of the past in individual and collective identity. Philosophical elements emerge as the exploration delves into the essence of time and contemplates the concept of nostalgia, suggesting that the past is not merely a forgotten place but a bridge to understanding the present.
In the second Pavilion, “Faces of the Present”, the focus shifts to representing the complexity of the current moment. The artworks capture snapshots of daily life, revealing the vibrant interaction between individuals and their surroundings. Through the artistic lens, the present unfolds as a mutable canvas where social, technological, and cultural influences converge. Philosophy intertwines with the concept of the “here and now,” prompting the audience to consider the transience of the present moment and the necessity of fully embracing it.
In the third Pavilion, “Possible Horizons”, art projects itself towards the future, exploring speculative visions and uncharted possibilities. Through bold and often futuristic imagery, the exhibition challenges the viewer’s mind to imagine new worlds, emerging technologies, and social changes. Philosophical elements focus on the concept of progress and the uncertainty of what lies ahead, sparking debates about humanity’s role in shaping the direction of the future.
In summary, ‘Time Trilogy: Reflections on Past, Present and Future’ allows artists to present a profound and multidimensional perspective on human nature and its relationship to time.
